Glass panels

After the panel lines had been scribed I remasked the glass areas and painted it with glossy black.

Not so easy to get those lines just right by sight, but that's how the model has been made from the start. So patience and consistency are characteristics worth having.

With a 3mm 3M design tape I started to scribe some panel lines.

First coats of white

After a very long time here it is in white.

This is after a few basecoats. So it's not as white as it should be just yet.

Nordic Ferrari

Is red really a privilege just for Ferrari?

I'm testing some colour combinations and looking for overall imperfections from the reflective paint, but I can't really tell what I think about the red paint on this car... Right now I'm thinking that white is still the way to go.

Some progress

Small steps that take a lot of effort. I have managed to fabricate all 4 tires and all 4 rims. The tires need painting and so does the last 2 rims. But the good thing is that now I have all the equipment and some practice for finishing them.

The second update covers the brakes. Firstly - all 4 are done :) Secondly they have a new finish so they would stand out a bit more than the black version. After all, I put a lot of effort into them. But the mat gold finish is not too flashy and replicates the Brembo calipers that I had for reference pretty good. Just the red sticker missing right now.

The two little air intakes next to the headlights are also being made ;)
